Zardari Responsible for Ethnic Differences in Pakistan..!

Go and give your congratulations to those  who are sitting on snugly in the establishment because their brainchild Asif Ali Zardari has put Pakistan in the most dangerous position ever. Asif Zardari through his policies of keeping everybody happy and just saving his own skin has virtually divided the Pakistan.
In Pakistan these days, it seems that the differences have surfaced very bitterly among the provinces. By changing the name of NWFP, Zardari has paved the way for more division in KP, and anger is rising among Hazarawals and other ethnic groups in that region. Zardari has fanned the ethnic differences in Punjab and now people are asking for three provinces like Seraiki, Mianwali and Bahawalpur carved out of Punjab. There are voices getting stronger in Sindh about division and president of Awami Tehreek Ayaz Palejo has said that Zardari and Altaf Hussain are conspiring to make Karachi a separate province.
Sindh has a heritage which was 5,000 years old and no offensive comments should have been made against it. Also Punjab’s divison and the division of KP would spark more unrest and more ethnic division. In Pakistan every district is almost based on different ethnicity and due to the no control of government, there could be a mess of movements everywhere about new provinces, and it would become a joke, and Pakistan soon would have thousands of provinces.
Can we get rid of Zardari to save Pakistan’s integrity...?

New Provinces ; Legitimate Demand..?

The problem which I see with the formation of the new provinces is that there is no public movement or mass protests in this regard in Seraiki belt, Bahawalpur or in the Hazara area. There are some scattered public meetings but they were without any luster and only few of the defeated politicians were using this as a new lever of power, which might provide them chance to rejoin the fray.
On the merit, the thought about the formation of new provinces is not without water. It’s rather sounds more logical in both historical and the administrative perspective. Lahore is the hub for the Punjab, and it is far far away from Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Attock and from Mianwali. Also it is very evident that Lahore eats up most of the budget for the Punjab province, and you can compare other cities of the Punjab with Lahore.
Also for the poor people it is very hard and demanding to travel to Lahore from Southern or Northern Punjab for their officials works and they cannot afford the living and accommodation in Lahore. Given the huge population of the Punjab, it has become virtually impossible to govern justifiably. So the demand for the new provinces is legit, but it should be on administrative basis, however any division based on ethnic and racial basis should be discouraged.
But what after that? What happened after the renaming of the NWFP? There is no vision in practice right now to ensure that there wouldnt be any mess after the split of Punjab and there wouldnt be more and more demand for provinces from all the provinces. Population of Pakistan comprises as; Punjabis 44.15%, Pukhtoon’s 15.42%, Sindhis 14.1%, Saraikis 10.53%, Muhajir’s (7.57%), Balochis 3.57% and Others 4.66%. This might never end, so beware....!

Ramazan Mubarak..!

Wishing you guys a Blessed month of Ramazan/ Ramadan shareef. May ALLAH Almighty shower His blessings upon us and help us change for the better....! AAMEEN

Why Imran Khan Will Not Win...!

If you ask me the sole reason why I think that there is no future for Imran Khan in the Pakistani Politics until and unless he solely depends upon the establishment, then it is his imposing and dictatorial style which is his nature, and he simply cannot shed that away, though he tries sometimes.
For example, when PML-N made the blunder of loosing the Hazara area of Khyber Puktunkhwa because they didn’t do anything to prevent ANP-PPP to change the name of province which has no representation of Hazara, Imran tried to impose himself on the Baba Haider Zaman and tried to replace PML-N at his own. Baba Haider tried to contact Imran and asked him to join his movement for Hazara province, but Imran wanted all the limelight for himself and failed spectacularly.
Same happened for Imran in his sit-ins of Karachi and Islamabad and Lahore. He refused to accept the help of Jamat-e-Islami, and his dharnas were just show of misery. He staged a good show in Peshawar, but then again failed to capitalize on that success and there was no follow up and there was no party management there.
So political acumen, in the nut shell, is what Imran lacks and that is fatal for any political career. Imran is lucky that he has committed so many blunders and yet he is there, just because the others are so incompetent or perhaps others don’t ever take him seriously.

1st roza..!

Its Asar time and I am feeling very hungry + thirsty. I should because its after one complete year and secondly this is first Ramadan. Going down the month I will get habitual to it. Wow.. what a month? It has its own taste. Everything changes and goes in accordance with the ROZA. Waited alot for this holy month like always...!

The curious case of the moon...!

In case you have not already sussed this out, this post has to do with the appearing and not appearing of the moon, as it determines when different months start in the Hijri calendar. The calendar determines when different events occur in Islam, and it is essentially a lunar calendar, and not the only lunar calendar being used still.

However, come every Ramadan, and every Eid, the whole of the Muslim community goes into complete shambles. They just cannot see the moon. They just cannot agree on it. They just cannot believe that one person has actually seen the moon, and they just cannot believe that they may actually do something which another brother (sorry!) is doing.

All this, despite the fact  that science can clearly tell us the different phases of the moon. Okay, maybe science is not good enough for you. Why then, do you follow science for the other 10 months of the calendar, and more importantly, just one question, why, o why, do you use scientific numbers to determine when Sehri and Iftar are? Why can you print off calendars and charts and tables that determine exactly when the sun moves around the earth, but not believe the same number when it comes to the moon, for just 30 odd days of the year?

I rest my case...!

oldies..!

I am very fond of watching Pakistani dramas since childhood. Shortly i wanna tell you bout my favourite dramas I used to watch like crazy. Here is the list of that..:

1) Dhuwan(Drama serial): This drama was based on the condition of country in 90's. Focussing on the activities in NWFP(then). It had a very emotional touch with lots of action unveiling the realities.
2) Alpha Bravo Charlie(drama serial): Since early days of my childhood, I wanted to be in armed forces of Pakistan. So I always had interest in everything related to military. This drama is known amongst the best drama Pakistani television has ever made. I have seen lots and lots of people talking about this as a golden drama.

3) Alif noon: If anyone asks me about the funniest drama ever aired by PTV then without thinking for a moment I would say Its ALIF NOON. This sitcom is ever green. I cannot resist or stop my laugh whenever Iam watching this drama.

Corporate Social Responsibility…Why the Cynicism?..!

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been the most fashionable term in Marketing for a few years. Everyone’s in on it, from company’s helping to enrich the lives of the less fortunate to the firms who are going green by switching to energy saving bulbs.
Is it because these businesses feel that they have something to give back to society or is it because they want to distract our attention from some of the things they are doing, maybe for some organisations it’s a tool to increase sales?
Is the Mobilink PCO scheme really about getting people into self employment or more coverage and sales for Mobilink products? Is their “Hunt for Heroes” giving the opportunity to children who may never have had the chance to play cricket or increasing brand awareness?
We know the prime, and it can be argued the only, objective of any company is to make money for its shareholders, which is why many people seem to be distrustful of such initiatives.
When it comes to CSR, school boy errors such as advertising your good deeds simply adds to the cynicism.
However despite all the scepticism we must remember such gestures from companies do help communities. Such as Mobilink’s RS20 million donation to The Citizen Foundation to help build homes in Chamman Kotli after the 2005 earthquake.
So the public will always veiw CSR initiatives as evil, right? Well not necessarily let’s take a look at the above Mobilink initiatives again. Now imagine if Zouhair Khaliq, the CEO of Mobilink, told us about how important it was to have small businesses and entrepreneurs for the economy and announced the Mobilink PCO scheme? That, at least for me, softens the cynicism. It moves away from being a marketing gimmick and becomes the ethos of the organisation, the vision of a leader. Sort of like when Richard Branson tells me he started Virgin Airlines to fight the big bad wolf that British Airways is and I don’t even think about how rich he’s made himself.
A person being ethical and responsible is far more acceptable to our realities than an intangible brand doing the same. But having a person representing your brand has its own problems and brings increased pressure on their day job.

Tarang: Fully Rangeen Yet Again...!

Some brands have an entertainment value which compels the viewers (read consumers and potential consumers) to take a look at their communication. In Pakistan, Tarang continues to be one such brand. From its inception, Tarang as a brand continues to carry the whole “Filmi”, “Lollywoodish (if there is such a word!)”and “Festive” feel in its communication.
The trickiest part perhaps for any brand is to continue using the same underlying idea, the same thought and make it relevant each and every time for its consumer. A general perception when Tarang came out with its first ever communication was it seemed “cheap” but that was the time when Tarang was being introduced as a Tea Whitener and three to four years down the road, we’ve all grown accustomed to the star studded TVCs that Tarang offers.
The latest TVC more or less follows the same underlying thought. The signing, dancing, festive occasions, glamour, colors etc are all there but this time the emphasis is on the “Colors of Our Nation” and hence the line “Tarang Bhara Des”. Tarang lives up to the “aspirational value” which has been the focal point of the brand’s communication since the very beginning, Tarang has always wanted its consumers to relate to the glitz and glamour of the film industry (which is a tricky part considering the health of our own film industry).
The previous campaign, “Hero bannay ke Tarang”, sold the idea perfectly. This time though the idea has been stretched to a whole new level whereby the same “aspirational value” is being used but it brings in the though of unity. The transition from the seventies dresses, the glittery lights etc to “Tarang Bhara Des” has been good to watch.
The idea being used can easily trickle down to other mediums. Tarang as a brand can work towards reviving our almost dead film industry (maybe work with the stars of our ailing industry to come up with a block buster production). The Lollywood platform can be used as an activation tool to get to the semi-urban and rural consumers.
What remains to be seen is that how Tarang sells all this singing and dancing to the consumer and stays relevant each time. As far as the recent TVC goes, it is a good well done.

Peace Formula by Altaf Hussain Bhai...!

If anyone feels true pain in their hearts for the killings in Karachi, they are the leaders of the MQM who cannot sleep at night and who cannot eat during the day because they hear the news of killings every hour and they hear the news of the firing, looting and random street crimes all the time.
These are the people who want lasting and real peace in the city of Karachi. These are the people who turned Karachi from a sleepy backward village to a shining city of lights, and these are the people who are brains and bodies behind the progress of this huge megapolis and six largest city of the world. Mustafa Kamal has changed the face of the city, and MQM wants to do more and more.
That is why Altaf Hussain Bhai, the Quaid of MQM has come up with a practical and reasonable formula for the peace in the city of Quaid. He has proposed a peace formula for restoring peace and stability in Karachi and has said that all the religious and political parties should send a five member delegation to Karachi for restoring peace. He has that said if a single bullet is fired anywhere in the city, these delegations should be sent to the concerned area to see for themselves as to who is is spoiling the peace. And Altaf Hussain has also invited retired army officers and retired judges to become part of the delegations to ascertain the identity of those who are creating trouble.
This is the only way to the peace in Karachi. Altaf Hussain has extended his hand with all the sincerity and now see who comes forward and hold that hand for the peace in Karachi.

The So-call Free World or The World of Hypocrites..!

If a Muslim had killed a few persons in Norway or any other state in Europe or America, the world press would have immediately declared him a TERRORIST.
But the person who killed 90+ in Norway is called . . .
an ‘Assailant’, ‘Attacker’ by Reuters,
a ‘Gunman’ by BBC, CNN & Al Jazeera.
Also, the US Dept of State calls it an ‘Act of Violence’, Not an ‘Act of Terrorism’.
Is ‘Terrorist’ a name reserved for Muslims only?
Tie So-called Free World is actually the World of HYPOCRISY.

Pakistan ranks 5th in Asia in mobile phone users...!

Pakistan ranks 5th in Asia in mobile phone users as more than 100 million people are using mobile phones in the country.
The number of mobile phone users in the world has reached 5 billion. According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), 10 million new connections were issued domestically, a private tv news channel reported Wednesday.
According to statistics, the number of mobile phone users in Pakistan has reached 131 million. Analysts say that the main reason behind the increasing number of mobile phone users is competitive tendency and lower calling charges.

Now after reading all this, Iam in a state of confusion that where are we going? Are we developing fastly as such things and data facts show or these things gonna effect badly? People in Pakistan are well aware of technology and very easily accept the technological changes. They understand the need of this. But as compared to developed countries of Asia, the rate of literacy rate of Pakistan is lesser whereas poverty is on hype. Such things make these kind of news much shocking. seriously I start smiling on such kind of news related to Pakistan....!

Zardari Versus Iftikhar Chaudhry...!

Islamabad is abuzz with the hour by hour news of what tricks are being played from the government against the judiciary. The PPP leaders who have access to the President House routinely say in the lobbies of Serena and the Marriott that President Zardari takes personal special pleasure by erecting obstacles in the way of Iftikhar Chaudhry and he blesses anyone immensely who comes up with a new way to tease the Supreme Court.
Zardari still hates Iftikhar Chaudhry and his ego is still bruised and hurt after the restoration of the judiciary by the long march of PML-N and the lawyers. Zardari never accepted that and trying his level hard to malign and defeat the judiciary, so much so that it packs up and go home in frustration. The verdicts of Supreme Court are not being implemented and the government does not recognise the restoration of independent judiciary at all.
Zardari group is not abiding by the orders of the judiciary in an effort to hide its corruption and that of its coalition partners. ANP has destroyed the railway and is involved in violence in Karachi along with MQM. PML-Q has come aboard to support PPP and in lieu they would get clean chit of their corruption of  billions. Establishment is also interested in saving this government because of their own dirty laundry. The only obstacle in this whole mega dirt is the Apex Court.

Pakistan has the world’s fastest-growing nuclear stockpile...!

Pakistan has the world’s fastest-growing nuclear stockpile and it could achieve 150-200 warheads in a decade despite the political instability in the country, two top American atomic experts have said...

Ahan.... is that good? I think we dont have that much money reserves to survive. So we are meeting up the requirements through nuclear warheads.

Underworld Don of Pakistan...!

Car theft, human smuggling and narcotics rackets are the three main trades of underworld in Pakistan and these mafias are interlinked and they are stronger than the government and any other institution of the country. From politicians to security apparatus and from media to businesspersons, this mafia has its very deep tentacles and it is literally unbreakable.
It was kind of curious and very interesting when I read the Ansar Abbasi’s report about the underworld car theft don Major Hassan who has told the Ansar that police officers of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mardan, charsadda and Peshawar are involved in car lifting from Punjab, especially from Islamabad.
That Don has said that he used to pay millions of rupees monthly to the police officers and he stole hundreds of vehicles. He told that it was so easy for the car lifters to steal any car, and no tracker or jammer could bar the thieves and once stolen, the car stays stolen and it could be taken anywhere as police provide protection.
That said, same is the case with the human smuggling and narcotics. Narcotics from Khyber and Afghanistan travel by GT Road in the buses and women and men openly transport narcotics to all the cities in Pakistan. They even sell that during journey in the buses and the various check posts along the route knows that.
Children from all over the Pakistan are kidnapped and then taken to the Khyber Puktunkhwa and then sold there. They are taken through various routes mainly in the trucks. There are thousands of truck hotels along GT road and these children are also sold to these hotels for the truck drivers and bus conductors. Police knows everything but they get their share of money and entertainment.
This darker side of Pakistan is going unabated and this is such a strong mafia that it is nearly impossible to curb it now....!

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) SMS Alert service...!

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, one of the political parties of Pakistan has introduced a one of its kind service in Pakistan. They will be sending SMS and has asked everyone to join for free...

I don't consider this party as a revolutionary one, in fact Imran to me is a dictator. He is just using creative ideas different from other ones and probably thats the reason its becoming so popular in general public especially youth as well...

To subscribe to these SMS notifications, just send your name + city via SMS to 80022 (using any cellular network in Pakistan)...!

Bilawal Owns Lyari...?

Bilawal will take the Lyari seat, Moonis will rule Punjab, Hamza will take Lahore seat, and Abdul Qadir will take Multan seat and Afza will take London seat. It has all been decided and we the slaves are just waiting for the next generation of the rulers to take our reigns in their fat hands.
I was ill at ease and puked when I heard the headlines in the news about the statements of the PPP leaders who were breaking all records of sycophancy. President Asif Ali Zardari has decreed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will return to Pakistan in September and contest election from Lyari and this seat belongs to him only.
Does Bilawal knows how it feels like living in Lyari?  Can he spend one night in the dark and dirty alleyways of Lyari where even people are afraid to walk in daytime? Can Bilawal sustain the hunger and agony of Lyari for one hour? Does he has even an iota of idea what is the life of people who will wag their tail for him?
But then its the fault of people of Lyari. First Bhutto, then his daughter and then his son in law and now the grandson is going to deceive these people again. They deserve Bilawal.

Dont Cut Branch, Where You Are..!

Everybody agrees that the Pakistan is passing through dire times. Pakistan and its people are facing numerous problems especially when it comes to the internal peace and the national economy. At this time, it is very sad and painful to see that some factions of the society are targeting the armed forces of Pakistan.
Right now, whether you like it or not, the only standing institution in the country is the army, and that is what is safeguarding the Pakistan. Some people in media and in political parties are criticizing the army just to damage the credibility and the image of the military to damage Pakistan. It is very sad that when the Pakistanis, few of them, would themselves start throwing mud at the army, then it would be very easy for the enemy to defame our forces.
By criticizing army we are cutting the same branch on which we are sitting. If army goes down, then who would save Pakistan? These politicians are dirt and cheap, and how could you trust them with your country?
We need Pakistan and democracy comes second. What is the advantage of that democracy when we dont have any country. Also what democracy has given in the last almost four years? If you fairly compare the eras of military dictators and the democratic leaders, you would come to know that dictators have always put Pakistan one step ahead. But regardless of that debate, it is high time that we as a nation discourage those elements which are spreading disappointment regarding the army...!

Pakistan needs you...!

Basically Govt not giving us permission to do that World Record event & giving excuse of security, Now if security issues then how could they allow dance parties, Rallies, Protests, If Pakistan is in the state of  WAR then stop doing Different awareness campaign? People of Pakistan should get training to fight against country enemies & armed forces should give all of us training.
These corrupt leaders not reduce their expenditure, They don’t want to change their lifestyle but when media point out them then immediately they come to us with the line “Pakistan is in state of war so we are focusing on war” Basically they are afraid to see unite this nation under one Flag & sing national anthem.
I request to whole nation to come outside on 13th of august & sing National anthem together. All political parties want us to do that event on their platform, its mean they have no issue of security, they just want us to do that on their party platform, We refused them as its national event & it should be done only for Pakistan with Pakistani Flag.
lets come out for Unity of Pakistan, Dont be affraid with blasts, suicide attacks & killing, as it can be happen anywhere So we have to be unite against all these people if you want to save our future & our country...!

Cost of Democracy for the Pakistanis...!

The major portion of our salaries is used in paying the electricity, gas and phone bills. The electricity charges per unit are revised upwards multiple times in a year. In summers this bill becomes unpayable even if use our airconditioners for decoration only! And have alook at the lavish living of  our members of Parliment. We, the poor people of pakistan do not afford a democratic government. When million are wasted on electing MPAs and trillions to keep them and all that for doing nothing! (87 of these elected member did not say a words in the assembly for past 3 years!!! How can help the people of their constituencies)

Govt. Concessions for a Member of NATIONAL ASSEMBLY (MNA)

Monthly Salary : Rs. 120,000  to 200,000
Expense for Constitution  per month : Rs.100,000
Office expenditure per  month : Rs.140,000

And they are elected by THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN, through a democratic process of this world, not intruded into the assembly on their own or by any qualification. Amazing...!

Revenge from People...!

The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Water and Power are all set to approve another dropping of electricity bomb upon the hapless people of this land.According to a report in this newspaper, power tariffs may be set to go up by yet another two or three percent, essentially because the government is short of nobody knows what.
Corruption is the key here again. The thing is that the Zardari tola is taking revenge from the people because they failed to earn billions and billions in the rental power projects which was rollbacked by the hue and cry in the media and the suo moto of the Apex Court, but the wounded snake in President house wants to cover up that loss from the poor people.
In Lahore and Multan, people have stormed the offices of utility companies. In Karachi, the KESC is adamant. In every city or village or town of Pakistan, people are literally weeping because they have lost their jobs and their businesses and everything just because they dont have the electricity and yet they are paying bills worth of thousands of rupees.
This electricity is going to prove nails in the coffin of this government.
